Igniter
₹0 Upfront · No Subscription · No Contract

The only genuinely free coaching app builder in India

Every other 'free' coaching app builder in India hits you with a setup fee, an APK-publishing fee, an annual contract, or a massive revenue share. Igniter is actually free to start — ₹0 to sign up, ₹0 monthly, no credit card. We earn only when you do: 5% on each course sale. If you never sell a course, you never pay us anything.

What 'free' actually means in the Indian market

Most 'free coaching app' tools aren't free

When an Indian coach or institute owner searches free coaching app kaise banaye, they usually land on three types of tools, and none of them are free in any honest sense:

  • SaaS platforms with a free trial — Classplus, Graphy, and most global LMS tools let you poke around for 7–14 days, then demand a ₹12,000–₹50,000 annual subscription before you can actually publish an app or take a student payment. A free trial is not a free product.
  • Free-to-build but paid-to-publish platforms — AppsGeyser, Kodular, Appy Pie — you can drag-and-drop build an APK, but publishing on Play Store, removing their ads, or accepting Razorpay payments requires ₹5,000–₹15,000/month. The building is free; the selling is not.
  • Freemium tools with a tiny free tier — Teachmint's free tier, for example, caps you at a small student count and removes paid-course features. Fine for demo, useless for actual business.

None of these models work for a coach who wants to launch and start earning without putting money on the table first. Igniter's model is different: no free trial, no demo, no payment required to publish. You sign up, upload your logo, generate your branded APK, and start selling courses. The first ₹1 that ever leaves your bank account on Igniter is your 5% platform fee on a sale that has already happened.

How the 5% model works

Why we chose 5%-on-sale over subscription

We considered every possible pricing model when we built Igniter — subscription, per-student, per-feature, agency-style fixed fee. Each of them penalises coaches during their slowest months. A new UPSC coaching doing zero revenue in July still has to pay Classplus in July. A small home tutor who has 12 students in January and 3 in August still pays a flat fee in August.

5% on actual sale revenue is the only model that lines up with what coaches actually want: the platform should only earn when the coach earns. If you do ₹0 in sales this month, Igniter earns ₹0. If you do ₹10 lakh, we earn ₹50,000 — and you keep ₹9.5 lakh. No subscription, no tier, no per-student, no hidden overage, no "video storage exceeded" upsell. One number, one bill.

The 5% covers: app hosting, website hosting, DRM-protected video streaming (HLS with per-user tokens), mock test infrastructure, live class infrastructure (HD video, chat, polls), payment-gateway orchestration, SMS/WhatsApp notifications, AI doubt tutor usage, faculty accounts, parent dashboards, admin panel, and unlimited storage for notes and videos. Nothing is gated behind a tier.

Who this is actually free for

Four coach profiles for whom ₹0 upfront is the whole unlock

  • The new coaching owner testing the waters. You have 20 students, a WhatsApp group, and no capital to spend. Paying ₹15,000 to Classplus before you've made your first course sale is a bad bet. On Igniter, you risk nothing and start collecting payments on day 1.
  • The YouTuber converting followers to paid students. You don't know yet how many of your 50K YouTube subscribers will pay for a course. Paying Classplus ₹30K upfront against unknown conversion is madness. On Igniter, you launch, see what sells, and pay only on what actually sells.
  • The home tutor running a side practice. You teach 10–30 students a year. Your total course revenue is ₹1–3 lakh. A ₹15K Classplus subscription eats 10–15% of your revenue before factoring in payment gateway fees. On Igniter, your total platform cost is ₹5K–15K/year — and you only pay after the student pays.
  • The coaching institute owner whose Classplus contract is renewing. You've been paying Classplus ₹30K–1L for two years. Migrate to Igniter during your renewal window and cut your fixed cost to zero — our support team handles the data migration for free.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Igniter really free, or is there a hidden catch?

No catch. ₹0 to sign up, ₹0 monthly, ₹0 to publish on Play Store, ₹0 to accept Razorpay. We charge 5% only on actual course sales — when a student completes a payment. If you never sell a course, you never pay us a rupee.

What does the 5% cover?

Everything: branded Android app on Play Store, custom website, unlimited video hosting with DRM, live classes, mock tests, AI doubt tutor, faculty logins, parent dashboards, SMS/WhatsApp notifications, GST invoicing, payment orchestration. No tier, no gating, no per-student.

How is this different from Classplus' free trial?

Classplus' free trial is 7–14 days, then you must pay ₹12K–50K/year to continue, regardless of whether you've made any sales. Igniter has no trial expiry — you can run a small coaching on Igniter for years doing ₹10K revenue and our total charge is ₹500.

What about apps like AppsGeyser or Appy Pie — they're also free, right?

AppsGeyser and Appy Pie are free to build a basic APK, but adding payment gateways, removing their branding, publishing without ads, or hosting protected video content requires monthly plans of ₹3,000–₹15,000. They also don't include live classes, mock tests, or an admin panel for coaching workflows.

Do I need a developer to use Igniter?

No. Signup, logo upload, theme picker, and APK generation are all self-serve through a web dashboard. No coding, no developer, no agency. Most coaches go from signup to live Play Store app in under 24 hours.

What's the real cost if I do ₹5 lakh in course sales this year?

₹25,000 total — that's 5% of ₹5L. Compared to Classplus (~₹30K subscription + revenue share = ₹60K–80K at that scale), you save roughly ₹35K–55K per year.

Can I upgrade / add features later?

Every feature is unlocked from day 1 — there's nothing to upgrade to. Live classes, mock tests, DRM video, AI doubt tutor, parent dashboard, batch management — all included in the free plan, covered by the 5% sale fee.

What happens if I want to leave Igniter later?

You can export all your data (courses, students, sales, videos) and leave anytime. No exit fee, no lock-in, no notice period. Your APK stays live on Play Store for your students until you deprecate it.
